Our passion and privilege is to help K – 5th grade kids grow in faith as they learn what a relationship with Jesus Christ looks like at a young age.
Our goal through Kids Ministry at West Jackson is to help children know Jesus as their Savior and grow in their faith as they live for him. Each week on Sundays and Wednesdays, our K-3rd grade (FUSION) and 4th-5th graders (MERGE) come together to worship, learn, and grow in community in age-specific ways.
Weekly Activities in the Fusion Wing
Each week we have children from 1st - 5th grade gather together in the Fusion wing upstairs for fun activities, small group activities, and Bible teaching.
- Bible Study @ 9:00a (Fusion Wing)
- Family Worship @ 10:30a (Worship Center w/ Parents)
Each week, Kids Ministry happens in our Fusion Wing. Parents can drop off their children by entering the North Entrance (by the Fellowship Hall) on the second floor.
- Kids Choir @ 5:15p (Various Rooms)
- Fusion K-3 @ 6:15p (Early drop-off 6:00p in Fusion Room)

Our Kids Ministry Team
Our Kids Ministry is led by Pastor Rich Smith. Rich’s top priority, other than his relationship with Jesus, is his family. He has been married to his wife Paige for more than 20 years, and they have four incredible children: Allie, Addison, Alexis, and Max. Rich has served in the local church for over twenty years including working with children, students, and adults. However, his passion is to serve in children’s ministry. His goal is to create a fun and compelling environment for children to come learn about God and interact with his people. He believes that the truth of God’s word is relevant and powerful for the lives of children.
